Mr. Mubashir Naqvi is one of Pakistan’s most distinguished and dynamic business management professional, having a rich experience in Business planning, Business management, Commercial Operations- Sales, Marketing, Customer care, Retail & Distribution and End-End project management. Mr. Naqvi is renowned in the competitive and high growth market of Pakistan telecom and broadband sector as a strong telecommunication and management professional with over 15 years of work experience at senior management levels. He is a key business enabler, with a strong focus on governance, growth, team play, CSAT, ESAT and increasing shareholder value such that the corporate values are upheld at all functional levels. He is a graduate from Punjab University, Pakistan and holds a mini MBA degree in telecom from UK.
Mr. Naqvi joined the Telecom industry at a time when the entire concept of modern telecommunications and the emerging mobile telephony were in their very nascent stages, grew in his professional stature as a dynamic leader and developed a track record of being an unconventional go-getter and a turn around executive. From starting out as a Sales/Marketing Executive in 1991, he is the only exception in Pakistan’s cellular market where a foot soldier grew to the level of CCO and President & CEO of Pakistan’s second largest GSM Operator-Ufone with over 16M customers base. And later went on to become the CEO of the WIMAX service provider, Augere Pakistan. He has served with various organisations of international repute and multinationals- Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, Millicom international, Cable & Wireless limited, Orasscom Telecom and Etisalat International and Augere Holdings Netherland, on senior management positions such as GM Customer Care, Commercial Director, Regional General Manager, Chief Commercial Officer and the CEO.
Developing the business plans, setting strategic direction to the business, building and managing the performing teams with outstanding leadership, reviving and turning around businesses and good interpersonal and management skills are some of his core strengths. For Mr. Naqvi’s strong commercial & management background, setting aggressive targets and achieving is a passion with hands on experience and in-depth understanding of commercial business, a clear advantage.
In his brief tenure of two and half years at Augure Qubee as its CEO, he successfully led the company towards launch and expansion of the WiMAX internet services in four cities of Pakistan. Qubee claims to have attained more than 55,000 subscriptions during the time. After serving for over 25 years on corporate assignments, Mr. Naqvi has now moved into a consultancy role as the Managing Partner & CEO of Mint Consulting Group (MCG). MCG is a unique group of companies operating globally and providing services both in Pakistan and Internationally. It is a consultancy firm-providing top of the line services in Telecom, Investments, Agro & Farming, Project Management and Allied Professional Services to its customers.
