Mr. Rashid Ahmed is an experienced banker, having over 43 years of professional experience to his credit. He had been holding Top Management positions with leading banks and financial institutions of both National and International repute. Some of the Positions held by him were Chief Executive Officer –Trust Leasing & Investment Bank Limited, Chief Executive Officer –Trust Investment Bank Limited, Chief Executive Officer -- Pakistan Industrial Leasing Corporation Limited, Executive Vice President, National Development Finance Corporation (NDFC), Second Vice President & Branch Manager –Chase Manhattan Bank, Executive Director – Benz Industries Limited a public limited/listed Company.
He got his Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Institute of Business Administration, University of Karachi and Master’s degree in Economics from the University of the Punjab (PU). He started his banking profession by joining United Bank Limited in 1963.
He has also attended number of training programs, international conferences and seminars. Some of such training programs were conducted by World Bank, UNIDO & UNDP, The Chase Manhattan Bank, and Asian Development Bank. He has also been part of numerous annual meetings of the World Bank, IMF and Asian Development Bank. He is a widely traveled person and has delivered many lectures at international seminars as well as in Pakistan.
