Asad Shahzad - Manager Projects

Mr. Asad Shahzad is a PMP certified telecom professional with over 18 years of work experience in the biggest mobile phone operator MOBILINK, telecom vendor ZTE & telecom sub-con MMCOMM in UAE. His core strengths includes Project management, Rollout access network (BSS/Fiber/MW/ATM/DXX/VAS), Integration, Installation & Commissioning, supervision, testing, quality audit, scope validation, Interconnect operations, establishment, expansion, fault management, configuration management with other operators, Network Change control management and Vendor/Sub-Con Management & Negotiation.

His main accomplishments includes Motorola to Alcatel swap, Alcatel & Ericsson to ZTE SDR 2G/3G (GSM/UMTS) swap, Alcatel GPON roll out and migration from Ericsson/Huawei to Alcatel GPON & Field Operations access network (BSS & Transmission), Corrective/Preventive Maintenance, RNO, Motorola and Alcatel 2G (GSM/GPRS/EDGE).

Mr. Asad Shahzad holds M.Sc. (Physics) majors in Advanced Electronics/Telecommunications from Punjab University Lahore, Pakistan. He also holds PMP Certification from Project Management Institute USA.

Sajid Mehmood - Associate Consultant OSS/BSS

Mr. Sajid has over 20 years of diversified experience in all domains of telecom, serving in China Mobile Pakistan. A highly reputable & result oriented practicing leader, well versed with general management, building teams, cultivating talent & driving business. He had been advisor to CEO, an active member of EMT (Executive Management Team) and member of board of directors of China Mobile Pakistan. He is an accomplished result oriented leader nurturing team commitment and deliver results in the form of profitability.

Mr. Sajid was the key member of the team which moved Paktel from TDMA to GSM technology and accomplished merger & acquisition of Paktel and PakCom into a China Mobile Company (Zong). Led the team for 3G/4G Spectrum acquisition and technical readiness, commercial launch and digital transformation of China Mobile Pakistan.

Mr. Sajid Mehmood is MCS & M. Phil. (Computer Science).

Naveed Akbar - Associate Consultant Projects – IT & Telecom

Mr. Naveed is a Telecommunication Professional with a diversified experience of program management, O&M & managed services and technical sales in the field of telecommunications. He has more than 25 years of experience in project scoping, activity definition & sequencing, resource planning, project planning, project execution & control.

Mr. Naveed accomplished GSM expansion project of CM Pak a China Mobile Company, executed Warid GSM Network Project-Phase-I, executed TDMA expansion project for PakCom Ltd and Paktel Ltd a Millicom SA group companies.

In addition to managed Services portfolios, he has also worked as Services Sales Support Manager, Project Manager, Accounts Manager and Sales Director – a member of management team at Ericsson Pakistan.

Mr. Naveed is a graduate in Electrical Engineering and also has done MBA in Marketing.

Mubashir Naqvi - Managing Partner & CEO

Mr. Naqvi is one of the very well respected and dynamic telecom professional with a rich experience of over 30 years in the telecom industry of Pakistan. He has served in different telecom operators of Pakistan on the senior management positions. His experience includes, GM- Paktel- A Cable & Wireless Company, Commercial Director, Mobilink- An Orascom Telecom Company, Chief Commercial Officer, Ufone- An Etisalat and Government Of Pakistan Company, Chief Executive Officer - Ufone, Chief Executive Officer, Qubee- A WiMAX Operator etc. After leaving the job market in 2008, he is into Telecom and Management Consultancy at Mint Consulting Group as Managing Partner & CEO. His core expertise includes developing business plans; go to market strategy/marketing plan, sales & distribution setups, reviving & turning around non performing businesses, good interpersonal and management skills.

Mr. Naqvi had been a delegate, Speaker and Moderator in a number of International telecom conferences around the globe.

Mr. Naqvi is Graduate from Punjab University, Pakistan and Mini MBA from Informa Telecom UK.

Idrees Hussain - Director Administration, HR & Procurement

Mr. Idrees is a retired Army Officer (Lieutenant Colonel) who has over 30 years of diversified military and civil experience in the field of human resource management, administration and logistics support. He has managed multimillion dollar projects internationally. He has remained involved in selection & recruitment, visa issuing formalities, Air travel, salary management of the employees, procurement and exporting of heavy machinery for mega agricultural project in Africa. He remained involved in the field of tendering and contracting with the telecom companies in Pakistan as well as other parts of the world. He also worked with the international donor agencies for establishing and managing the refugee camps in Baluchistan.

Mr. Idrees is a graduate from Punjab University and also have done post graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from Institute of Management Sciences of Punjab University, Pakistan. In addition, he has also completed Logistics Staff course from an Army Institution.

Masud Reza - Associate Consultant IT & Telecom

Mr. Masud possesses vast experience in the field of broadband, internet and telecom. He is among the very few professional of Pakistan having a 360 degree view and knowledge of broadband business and IP-based solutions for Fixed-Line and Wireless Operators. He had been a core member of the team which executed the Nayatel Project in Islamabad making Pakistan's first FTTH Project a reality. Mr. Masud’s main accomplishments include the execution of a Frame Supply Contract with Alcatel-Lucent and Cisco worth few million USD at Nayatel and moved Nayatel from analog head end to Next-Generation SDH System. Mr. Masud is extensively experienced in IP technologies and new trends.

Mr. Masud holds a graduate degree in Engineering from UET Lahore.

Rashid Ahmed - Senior Consultant (Finance)

Mr. Rashid has 43 years of a diversified experience in Banking & Financial Sector holding top management positions with leading banks and financial institutions of both national and international repute. Some of the Positions held by him were Chief Executive Officer –Trust Leasing & Investment Bank Limited, Chief Executive Officer –Trust Investment Bank Limited, Chief Executive Officer -- Pakistan Industrial Leasing Corporation Limited, Executive Vice President, National Development Finance Corporation (NDFC), Second Vice President & Branch Manager –Chase Manhattan Bank, Executive Director – Benz Industries Limited a public limited/listed Company.

Mr. Rashid has expertise in finance, resource mobilization, financial planning, acquisition, mergers and takeovers, conducting financial due diligences, arranging equity participations and conducting financial health diagnosis, etc.

Mr. Rashid is MBA in Banking & Finance from IBA Karachi.

Zinnooran Tahir- Manager Accounts

Mr. Zinnooran has a diversified experience of over 7 years in accounts, finance, administration & trade. He’s a team player with main focus on completing tasks within given timelines. Also got decent experience in import/export of different commodities as well as custom clearing matters related to trade. His core strengths are trade documentation, managed office expenditures & project budgeting.

His main accomplishments are successful export of Complete Rice Mill Machinery to Ethiopia for Rice Cultivation & Farming Project, Import of Solid Servers from Efficient IP – the fastest growing DDI Vendor in France, Network Audit Project Budgeting & forecasting and liaising different offices of MCG inside & outside Pakistan.

Mr. Zinnooran holds a bachelor of Commerce degree from Punjab College of Commerce.

MCG commissioned IPAM System by EIP- France at PTCL

IPAM solution by EfficientIP Pvt Limited (EIP) France comprising two carrier-grades, geo-redundant SDS 3300 SOLIDServer Appliance was successfully delivered, installed, commissioned and integrated on full turnkey basis by MCG. The solution enables PTCL to plan, track, and manage IP related resources like IPV4 private and public address space, IPV6 address space, VLANs, MPLS RD/RT and Vrf names within its domains in a centralized way. The solution provides a holistic view of entire address space in a graphical way and also ensures that the inventory of assignable IP addresses remains current and sufficient.
